  • GUI: added 'show password' button in email settings tab (mouse click and hold to view it)
  • SVC: added a mechanism to avoid sending alert if the last error is the same as the previous one for HASP error.log file
  • GUI: added selection of favorite log file viewer (right-click menu): Charon Log File Viewer (default), notepad++ (if installed) or Windows Notepad

  • GUI: changed status from 'Dead' to 'Inactive' and previous 'Inactive' to 'Service not running'
  • SVC: in case a child monitoring process falls in Failed status, it is automatically restarted (process killed for example)
  • SVC: at start, service recovery options are checked and forced to auto-restart in case of failure
  • GUI: added progress bar during service removal operation
  • GUI: service log file continuous view is limited to the latest 120 lines. To view full log file, click the 'Open log file' button
  • SVC: custom script output is sent to the service log file
  • GUI: added a popup when testing custom script to tell users to check the service log file for results
  • Added option to monitor HASP error log file (must be enabled from the Sentinel Admin Control Center)
  • GUI: settings splitted in 2 tabpages for ease of reading

  • GUI: removed gmail preset for email settings, kept only Office
  • GUI: if CharonLogViewer.exe is installed, it is used to open Charon virtual machines log files
  • GUI: when configuring email settings for the 1st time, if 'Charon License Expiration check' utility email is configured, user is prompted to copy settings
  • SVC: forced TLS1.2 if used to solve some problems when sending email (seen on Windows 2012R2 and 2016)
  • GUI: adding Stromasys support email addresses in the email recipients list is not allowed

  • SVC: added loop/sleep to check service stop request more often
  • SVC: forced to be single instance only (in the installer)
  • Installer will now install and start the service, solving a problem during upgrades
  • GUI: virtual machine log details and counters are no more shown if the log file is not monitored
  • GUI: minor display bugs corrected
To upgrade from a previous version, please stop the service manually first.

  • GUI: check added before starting a virtual machine to ensure the emulator executable file is present
  • SVC: added counter for information alert too in case they need to be suspended
  • GUI: added 'information' alerts state if suspended
  • GUI: solved a bug when re-enabling suspended alerts: counters were not reset for the virtual machine so one new message was suspending alerts

  • GUI: typo in tooltip for the 'Ignore Hardware specifications warning' option

  • SVC: added check on emulator .exe file existence in case an antivirus software decided to put it in quarantine
