Excerpt

The following picture shows an example of the Basic Settings screen (ACC version < 7.60):

The Basic Settings screen contains a number of important configuration options, including the ones marked above:

  • Allow Remote Access to ACC: If activated, the Sentinel ACC can be accessed over the network. If this parameter is set, the Network Visibility on the Network tab must be set to All Network Adapters. If you have no graphical access, you can edit the configuration file from the command-line. See Selected Configuration File Parameters (hasplm.ini).
  • The Change Password button allows you to set or change a password (see Security Settings for Sentinel Admin Control Center).
  • Password Protection: Defines which pages should be protected by the password.

In addition to the above, the various log files can be enabled on this screen. The file in which the settings are stored is indicated at the bottom of the screen.

Starting with version 7.60, this screen contains a new configuration option relevant to the Charon environment: If ACC should allow C2V-file creation from the Sentinel Keys page, the feature must be enabled here. See screenshot below:

Another new option in versions > 7.63 is the possibility to select either HTTPS or HTTP for remote access. HTTPS requires that a certificate be configured in the Network section.

Configuration options that are recommended for all versions, are the settings for the access and error log files. Please refer to Enabling logging in Sentinel Admin Control Center for additional information and configuration recommendations.
