On the license server, the network-enabled hardware or software license is installed in the same way as it would be for a local installation. To serve the license to clients over the network, the additional steps described in Tasks Specific to Network Licenses may be required. License Update Overview
For a license update, the steps are almost identical for hardware and software licenses. They are described in the chapters: Generating C2V and Fingerprint Files, Sending C2V File to Stromasys and Obtaining V2C File and Applying/Updating License Data from V2C File(s). Any changes to a new hardware license are treated as license updates as well.
