Sending C2V File to Stromasys and Obtaining V2C File
Sending C2V or fingerprint file to Stromasys
In order to receive a new software license or a license update from Stromasys, you must send the C2V or fingerprint file created in Generating C2V and Fingerprint Files to the Stromasys Orders Administration department.
Stromasys will provide you with the current email address to which you can send the file.
Obtaining V2C file from Stromasys Order Administration
Stromasys Order Administration will create either a new software license or an update for the existing license depending on the C2V file received. They will return one or more V2C files (Vendor-to-Customer), which contain(s) the required data. You will also receive a text file with a description of the license content.
Important:
If a hardware USB key is to be updated, you will in most cases receive two files: a *_fmt.v2c file and a *.v2c file. The *_fmt.v2c file formats the dongle and the *.v2c file contains the updated license data.
In such cases the *_fmt.v2c file must be applied first.
Details about importing the V2C file(s) are described in Applying/Updating License Data from V2C File(s).
Save the received V2C file(s) to the filesystem of the system where the license will be installed or updated, before proceeding to the next step.
