License Installation and Update Overview

Hardware license installation

On the license server, the network-enabled hardware or software license is installed in the same way as it would be for a local installation. To serve the license to clients over the network, the additional steps described in Tasks Specific to Network Licenses may be required. Every client system also needs the Sentinel HASP runtime software.

License Update Overview

For a license update, the steps are identical for hardware and software licenses. They are described in the chapters: Generating C2V and Fingerprint Files, Sending C2V File to Stromasys and Obtaining V2C File and Applying/Updating License Data from V2C File(s). Any changes to a new hardware license are treated as license updates as well.
