Intended Audience

This guide is intended for anyone who needs to install, configure, or manage the Stromasys Charon-SSP VPC license server. A general working knowledge of PC operating systems and their conventions is expected.

This getting-started guide covers the Charon-SSP License Server software. This appliance package contains a license server application that can be installed in AWS, OCI and ESXi environments. It enables customers to run, for example, Charon-SSP in a virtual private cloud environment without requiring Internet access to reach a license server.

The license server software requires a specific variant of the Charon-SSP software (Charon-SSP VPC version 4.2.x). The tests in this guide were performed with a pre-release of version 4.2. For a full description of Charon-SSP version 4.2 aspects that are not related to the specifics of the VPC license application, please refer to the full user's guide of your product variant.
