Intended Audience
This user's guide is intended for anyone who needs to install, configure, or manage the Stromasys Charon-SSP processor/platform virtualization software. The content of this manual is targeted at general users (not just system managers and administrators). However, a general working knowledge of PC operating systems and their conventions is expected.
Overview of Charon-SSP for Azure relevant documentation:
- This Getting Started Guide covers the basic installation and setup of the Charon-SSP for Azure (marketplace image) product variant, This appliance package contains the full software set including the underlying Linux host operating system. Interactive host operating system access is limited to a subset of commands.
- Product features, configuration, and management of Charon-SSP cloud-specific images is covered in the Charon-SSP for Marketplace - Configuration and Management Guide.
- The Release Notes of your product provide important information regarding known problems and possible workarounds.
- The user's guides for the general non cloud-specific products provide additional information, for example, about configuration file contents and running the emulator from the command line.

$ | The dollar sign in interactive examples indicates an operating system prompt for VMS. The dollar sign can also indicate non superuser prompt for UNIX / Linux. |

Definitions
