CHARON-AXP/VAX on Windows - Failed to lock memory base

Problem

CHARON-AXP/VAX on Windows reports the following message:

WARNING: failed to lock memory base=000000002D070000 size=0x4000000

Solution

This message most likely means there was a Windows update on the system which removed a system privilege "Lock pages in memory" the CHARON user (or any other user setup to run CHARON-AXP/VAX) account had.

This can be fixed by assigning the user this privilege again, see: CHARON on Windows - A required privilege is not held by the client
