CHARON-AXP for Linux - Empty log file is created

Problem

An empty log file is created when starting a virtual AXP machine in detached mode. This file remains empty and is created in the directory from where the command was issued

Log file name looks like: CHARON-AXP-AS4100-for-Linux-2014-05-02-15-32-10-000000000.log

Version concerned: CHARON-AXP for Linux V4.5 build 15505

Solution

This bug will be corrected with Charon-AXP V4.6.

This log file will remain always empty, it's name is the default name given when no one is specified within the configuration file.

To avoid creating this file anywhere, it is recommended to set the current folder to the one where you want to store the log file before starting the guest (emulated AXP).

Example:

# cd /opt/charon/log
# as4100 -d /opt/charon/cfg/pluto.cfg
