Guest system hangs with TX overflow messages in the log file
Problem
On Linux servers when using the detached option to run a guest, for example:
|
the system hangs and error messages are written to the guest log file similar to the following:
20131009:164703:ERROR:2:000001D8: srlio.cxx(1740): OPA0: Detected TX overflow while sending ...
This can prevent the guest system from booting due to buffer issues
Solution
This applies to Charon AXP 4.4 and below.
Available solutions:
Install version Charon AXP 4.5, build 15502 minimum or
Manually connect to the console via telnet or
Add an automatic connection to the console using the screen command for example or
Install the Linux Utilities kit that includes guests automatic start and stop and console autoconnect (if not already done manually).
