Problem

On installation of Software License "hasp_srm_view" utility cannot retrieve the host fingerprint C2V file: "Can not retrieve the C2V (host fingerprint mode) data."

Solution

This problem happens because the "hasp_srm_view" utility may be confused by already installed network-wide Software Licenses. The solution is to disable access to remote licenses using "Sentinel HASP Admin Control Center" (SACC).

To disable access to network-wide licenses:
  1. Go to http://localhost:1947 to access the "Sentinel HASP Admin Control Center" (SACC).
  2. Select "Configuration" option at the left panel, then "Access to Remote License Managers" tab.
  3. Uncheck the highlighted options:
  4. Press "Submit" button to apply settings
  5. Select "Network" tab.
  6. Switch "Network visibility" to "None":
  7. Press "Submit" button to apply setting.
  8. Do not forget to return these settings back after SL installation.
