Virtual Hardware Supported by Charon-PAR/PA9

The following table provides a short overview of the historic HP9000 models emulated by the Charon-PAR software. For more details regarding each model, please refer to Emulated Model Hardware Configuration Details.

(1) N4000 models are historic HP3000 models. While they can run HP-UX, this is not recommended due to different Ethernet controller requirements between MPE and HP-UX.

(2) For the oversized version of the models, the maximum number of CPUs is 128, the maximum amount of memory is 512GB of RAM.

(3) For the oversized version of the rp7400, the maximum number of CPUs is 64, the maximum amount of memory is 512GB of RAM.
     The N4000 models can have 1-4, 6, or 8 emulated CPUs.
