This section controls the virtual machine memory environment.  The following list describes these options:

  • allocator – Virtual machine memory allocator.
  • size-- Virtual machine memory size.

Virtual machine memory allocator.

Syntax

allocator = memory-allocator

Description

The allocator option is used to indicate to the virtual machine which memory allocation method the host system will use to allocate the virtual memory environment.  The memory-allocator value can be set according to the able below:

Description

This option specifies the amount of host memory that the virtual machine should make available to the guest.  It is specified in megabytes (MB).  The table below describes the allocation rules for each virtual machine model.
