This guide is intended for anyone who needs to install, configure, or manage the Stromasys Charon-SSP VPC license server. VPC stands for Virtual Private Cloud. A general working knowledge of PC operating systems and their conventions is expected.
This getting-started guide covers the Charon-SSP License Server software. This appliance package contains a license server application that can be installed in AWS, OCI , Azure, and ESXi (<tbd>) environments. It and Azure environments. Extension of the feature to VMware environments is planned for the future. The VPC license feature enables customers to run, for example, Charon-SSP in a virtual private cloud environment without requiring Internet access to reach a license server.
The VPC licenses provided by a VPC license server software requires require a specific VPC-capable variant of the Charon-SSP software (Charon-SSP VPC version 4.2.x). The tests in this guide were performed with a pre-release of version 4.2.
