Charon-SSP does not place any restrictions on the SCSI bus and SCSI target ID used configured for emulated SCSI devices, e.g., a virtual CD-ROM. However,

• on Charon-SSP/4M normally expects the boot CD-ROM device to have SCSI ID 6 / LUN 0,
• Charon-SSP/4U , Solaris usually normally expects the boot CD-ROM device to be on the external bus and SCSI ID 6 / LUN 0, and
• Charon-SSP/4V normally expects the boot CD-ROM device on the internal (primary) bus and SCSI ID 6 / LUN 0.

If you encounter the problem that the boot CD-ROM is not found when trying to boot from it, verify its expected location in the OBP environment (using the devalias command).
