The CHARON-SSP Virtual Environment is an appliance version of the CHARON-SSP for GNU/Linux virtual machine and associated utilities.  There are two versions of the Virtual Environment and they are listed below:

  • CHARON-SSP/V8 Virtual Environment – 32-bit SPARC Environment
  • CHARON-SSP/V9 Virtual Environment – 64-bit SPARC Environment

Although these two products are different in the processor families they support, they are otherwise identical from an application point of view.  The instructions in this section apply equally to both products.

4.Type exit to leave the shell and return to the CHARON-SSP Virtual Environment.

Set the Default Webpage to License Utility

To configure the web browser to automatically load the Sentinel HASP License utility on start up, follow the instructions below:

Under the General tab in the Preferences window, enter the following into the field labelled Home Page:

4.Click the button labelled Close.
5.Exit the Web Browser and re-enter to see the License Utility load when the Web Browser starts.
