Upgrading

To upgrade Powershell version, see: How to Install Windows PowerShell 4.0 (Microsoft TechNet)

Please take care of the known issue mentioned: Installation succeeds even if .NET 4.5 is not installed, so once the installation is completed, rerun the command mentioned in the Determining installed version chapter above to check the new version has effectively been installed.

A reboot is required after installing .NET 4.5Please see Microsoft Documentation pages here: Installing Windows PowerShell.
